Install Additional Drivers

System Settings -> Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers

Install Essential Applications

Korean Input

$ sudo apt-get install uim uim-byeoru

System Settings

  • Language Support -> Input method: uim
  • Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Key to show the HUD: any other key
  • Text Entry -> add “Korean (101/104 key compatible)”

Dash -> Input Method

  • Global settings -> Specify default IM -> Default input method: Byeoru
  • Byeoru key bindings 1 -> [Byeoru] on, off: “Alt_key”, “hangul”

Customize Appearance

  • Auto-hide: ON
  • “Show Desktop” icon: OFF
  • Search online sources: uncheck
  • Show “More Suggestions”: uncheck

  • Display “Show Desktop” icon: unckeck

Workspace Settings

  • Workspace switcher: ON

Hotcorners

  • Bottom-Right corner: Show Workspaces

  • Default font: NanumBarunGothic Regular 11
  • Document font: NanumBarunGothic Regular 11
